The Maria Island Walk is a guided four-day hike, award winning, through the National Park Marian Island and its stunning coastal and mountain scenery. The walks teach visitors to appreciate the wonders of the natural sanctuary of Tasmania, making them discover the abundant wildlife, beauty and high colonial history in island colors. The national park is ideal for long walks, an accessible level provided they are in good physical condition. The number of participants is limited to eight for each guided hike and guides are among the best in the country. At the end of each day, you will taste the joys of a dinner by candlelight, for culinary specialties and renowned wines of Tasmania and a well deserved rest in elegant camps nestled in nature. Last night, you will be accommodated in the Bernacchi House, a restored building of the former penitentiary Darlington Probation Station, which is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The hikes are organized from mid-October to late April.
